Le Photon des Vosges | Best Vintage Optician in Paris
Le Photon Des Vosges is basically the epicenter of vintage eyewear in Paris. Situated two steps away from Place des Vosges (Marais in Paris), this small boutique masterfully depicts the universe of its owner, René Ohana. Along with his astonishing collection of musical instrument, this oriental music enthusiast confines in his eyewear museum some of the rarest pairs of sunglasses you can ever dream of. To quote but one significant example, his large collection of Vito (one of the most sought-after and creative eyewear designers during the 60′s) is just breathless. Then, over a delicious mint tea, he humbly presented us some pairs that date back to the first half of the 19th century (see below). Along with those exclusive, unaffordable though, masterpieces, you may also discover some pairs straight out of Dior, YSL, Versace fashion shows in the 80′s at reasonable prices (150-300€)… Le Photon des Vosges is the kind of places you’re generally proud of knowing when a friend asks!
