New York City streetwear favorite Supreme continues to drop some amazing stuff : as part of the Spring/Summer 2013 collection, the label teams up with iconic watchmaker Rolex for a special collaboration piece. The two put together a custom version of the Rolex Submariner watch, featuring a supreme-twist, including a bold “FUCK EM” stamped on the face, and Supreme’s signature box-logo branded on the back. The two do very well merging the both worlds, mixing premium streetwear with class of designer accessories, as everyone knows the Sub has been popping everywhere these past months and embodies this sort of menswear trend on its own !

This stunning tricolor Letterman jacket from Thom Browne is an American classic and, above all, one of the New York based designer’s standout pieces. Channelling a preppy all-American style into his signature red, white and blue colour-scheme, Thom Browne designed a timeless casual style jacket for the modern gent. This piece will perfectly feat your coolest “urban” tees: Supreme, Odd Future or Pigalle… Available here on Oki-ni website. Read the rest of this entry »
Jake Davis describing Supreme: “It’s exotic, it’s exploration, it’s dangerous, it’s militant, it’s revolution, it’s travel, it’s youth… And has everything to do with the global world and nothing to do with the insular bubble that is downtown New York City… But at the same time it is so New York. It’s everything that New York represents… The clashing of cultures, the discordance of economic classes, the aspiration of something better, the melting pot of a heterogeneous society. This isn’t intellectualism of a brand. This is very real. And whether it’s thought out in design strategy or “just happens” you can’t deny its relevance. To simply call this “streetwear” and not significant cultural direction is laughable. The epitomical genius of Supreme is taking something classic like a camp cap and making it in an ikat fabrication.” That is so true!!! Enjoy the entire new line after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »
When Givenchy and Celine set the trend…
This spring catchword is flower! After Givenchy and Celine being the precursors of that “floral print” trend (see the images of their pre-collections after the jump), everybody is now following them and trying to design an ersatz floral print collection… You don’t believe me? Then, just take a look at the “What’s new” category on Net-a-porter and see by yourself!!
The thing is now you can’t avoid this trend anymore : you want to be shot by a streetstyle photographer during the fashion week? Then, you have to get yourself a fashionable Givenchy-like floral print top or be even more daring and buy the skirt! What is more, even Supreme (the hottest brand on the market right now) made a collab with Schott, the iconic designer of perfecto jacket, to produce a leather jacket (see the pic below) with a floral print interior… Crazy one by the way!
Point made: floral print is (supposedly) DOPE! Up to you now to follow or not the trend… Read the rest of this entry »
