Leica has officially announced a few days ago the release of the M Monochrom :  it features a brand new monochrome CCD sensor with a resolution of 18 megapixels alongside no interpolation with the direct processing of raw data, fine-grain image noise of 320-10,000 ISO and a 2.5 inch 230,000 dot rear LCD. No need to say that it also comes with Leica’s perfectly sharp image quality and excellent built quality. In other words, it is a Leica M body, without the color sensor. Eric Cahan’s fine art photographs inspired by color, nature, and memory are consistently shown in galleries in and around his native New York.
