Rodarte Radarte Charcoal Sweater
I love a basic sweater and I always think that if there is a graphic print or logo or text, it must have a meaning. It has to say something, should it be understood only by the discerning few. With this sweater, Rodarte brings back the charming series of super-soft Radarte tees and sweatshirts in exclusivity for Opening Ceremony. The line is the east-coast version of American Apparel : playful, cozy basics that say “I know how to dress”.
Bantu Swimwear | The African Beach Culture
Bantu Swimwear collection SS2011:
Bantu, funny name isn’t it? Sounds African, well it is! Plus, the lookbook shooting is quite cool… Definitely, your BBF (Beach Best Friend) for this summer !!
Bantu aims to introduce the world to African beach culture by creating a hot line of beach and resort wear, accessories, and skincare products using indigenous prints, labor, and materials that are all made in Africa. I discovered the brand on Opening Ceremony online store but I do love both the spirit and the products: imaginative swimsuits for women and nice swim shorts for men.
Beyond the depressing clichés that captivate the media, Africa is blessed by a vibrant beach culture from Dakar to Zanzibar, and from Cape Town to Casablanca – 26 coastal nations and countless cities. Bantu is a sort of gateway to this overlooked side of Africa. Read the rest of this entry »
Opening Ceremony x Pendelton | Mesh Cotton Knit Dress
What about a sexy dress for the summer to come ? Apart from the fact that a deep back vee is as sexy as a regular décolleté but always more classy, I love the association of a hippie pattern from Pendelton on a light beige cotton dress. Definitely a nice drop from Opening Ceremony and Pendelton ! Available at Ssense. Read the rest of this entry »

REPETTO X OPENING CEREMONY : THE PONY BALLERINA
Once again, we found an amazing collaboration not to be missed… This time, it is an exclusive, two-style collaboration between the historical parisian house Repetto and the successful American flagship Opening Ceremony.
The two houses successfully created a cowboy yet cultivé version of this best-seller ballerina. The shape remains a classic Repetto flat though. Inspired by a mythical pair of leopard Repetto flats, it seems that they both needed to revive it, they created the Pony Ballerina, an iconic ballet flat in 3 very oc varieties of animal-print pony hair (leopard, zebra and giraffe). POLKA-DOTTED CARDIGAN BY AGNÈS B FOR OPENING CEREMONY
Year after year, the famous American brand, Opening Ceremony, realizes new collaborations with talented French designers. This time, they pick an influential house whose name has become synonymous with nostalgia, invention, and play: Agnès b.!
I am not usually a big fan of the French designer’s lines. Yet, the hip New-Yorker flagship touch brings something special to the fruit of that collaboration. Indeed, this black polkadot cardigan will add a psychedelic rock touch to your whole silhouette. Hurry up if you want to get one…
