Although I’m sure some of you still haven’t noticed, cassette tapes are dead. So dead indeed, people start being nostalgic about them. Some even start making documentaries about them. The term “cassette tape” itself was recently taken out of the Oxford Dictionnary !! NY based Zack Taylor and Seth Smoot have begun celebrating the A Side, the B Side, the mixtape, and the whole of cassette culture with Cassette: A Documentary. They are covering all parts of popular culture influenced by the cassette, including hip-hop and B-Boy culture, indie rock, home recording etc… and will be releasing interviews from professionals and fans from all over the world !
