DONDA’s Creative Director and Co-Owner of RSVP Gallery, Virgil Abloh looks like the man to follow closely. He’s a Chicago native and Kanye West’s longtime personal Art Director. You understand he’s the guy responsible for this street-couture movement that mixes luxury fashion (Givenchy, Alexander Wand, Chanel…) with traditional hip-hop ornaments. We’d spotted Kanye and ASAP Mob members wearing some of Abloh’s Pyrex clothing back in may but missed the train. Live from the Bahamas, we give you Kanye West‘ much anticipated album Cruel Summer with many featured guests : KiD CuDi, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, CyHi The Prince, Common and several others ! Kanye West renews his collaboration with Nike with the Nike Air Yeezy 2. Although I usually like retro Jordan sneakers (and I’m not a huge fan of recent Jordan releases), I really digg this futurist wolf grey and pale lime soled pair of shoes. After weeks of anticipation and so much mistery surrounding the show, Kanye West’s first ever womenswear collection finally debuted yesterday evening at Paris Fashion Week! I could not wait to see what Ye was able to give us, which models would be on the runway, who would be on the front row etc… There it is ! All unfolded to your eyes. “From layered white pantsuits to plunging exposed zipper bondage dresses to jaguar rhinestone encrusted jackets, Kanye’s spring 2012 “Dw” collection left no corner of womenswear unturned.” says the first critic. My first thought is that is profoundly inspired by Céline and that it’s not bad at all. Judge by yourself by looking to every single look in the photo gallery below! Watching the first video clip of the new opus, Otis (click to watch it), I couldn’t help writing a post about the astonishing customized Maybach 57 they drive! Crazy project, money waste you might think, you’d better think again! They actually had this Maybach 57 customized in order to sell it on auction and send the money to help tackle the East African drought disaster.
