Panasonic 20-inch 4K resolution Tablet | CES 2013

panasonic-20-inch-4k-tablet

Have you already heard of the 4K technology for TV? Because 4K was actually the buzzword at the last CES in Las Vegas, it often rhymed with “TV”. Yet, Panasonic did not see it that way: they surprised everyone introducing their 20-inch Windows 8 tablet with 4K resolution! It’s very much a business-focused tool, and very much not yet a consumer-ready product, but we’re intrigued — finally, a display that outstrips the Retinas and 1080ps of the world. That being said, the idea of having a bigger tablet for domestic use is as relevant as having an iPad mini for nomad use! Will an iPad “Maxi” follow that trend?  Read the rest of this entry »

Charbonize Minimalist Cases | iPad, iPad Mini & iPhone 5

Charbonize ipad iPhone

We introduced Charbonize brand a while ago as HME was just starting. What I particularly like about Charbonize is the minimalist black designs and finitions of their products and the strong concept behind it! Not every gadget accessories brands already offer iPad mini cases or even iPhone 5 cases, while Charbonize quickly came up with some pretty cool recycled-wool sleeve that easily fit your new iPad mini (even with the SmartCover). See more pics after the jump and check out the website!

Oliver Sweeney Swipe Gloves for touch screens

As it is getting colder and colder outside, it is always a problem to reply to a text or navigate on your smartphone if your hands are sensitive to cold. Well, Oliver Sweeney, iconic British master of gloves and umbrellas, came up with an innovative answer to that: a brand new pair of “swipe gloves” that allows you to play with your touchscreen smartphone (thanks to TouchTec™ technology within the leather) while keeping your gloves on. Faithful to its status of the first established champagne house in 1729, Ruinart has been repeatedly and successfully tried to distance itself from other brands. Please consider it done with this revolutionary App that enables you to be your own guide down into its cellars, in a 360° interactive tour, 38 metres below the city of Reims ! MORE/REAL Stylus Cap

I am a purist when it comes to typography and I love to have the right pen at the right moment to do things right. I mean, I have a different stylus for each different surface I have to write on. When I was foreign in Turkey, I literally had my sister deliver me a set of permanent markers from France because I couldn’t find some locally. And now that I spend more time playing on my iPad than writing on real paper, but still need to carry a pen all the time in case of emergency and for my moleskine, discovering the MORE/REAL Stylus Caps made me really happy. These turn a Sharpie, a Bic, or a Pilot Fineliner into a touchscreen stylus that works with any capacitive touch screen. You get all the benefits of a marker that can write on paper with a stylus that gives you superior control to sketch and take notes on touchscreens such as the iPad. I love all the power tools like the iPad and iPhone bring to sketching and note-taking: you can quickly work out an idea from anywhere and send it off instantly to anyone. I often dream of being in a meeting with my iPad where I have to draw up a concept, have everyone take a look at it, make some tweaks, and then send it out to anyone else who wasn’t in the meeting but needed the information. The best thing is that they are perfectly designed and nice to the eye.  Read the rest of this entry »
