Introducing 13 Bonaparte | New French Designer
The good thing with running a blog is that we get a chance to meet the new wave of creators. David Sarfati, who happens to be one of the nicest guys in the business, is also the mastermind behind the newcomer brand 13 Bonaparte. Funded in the fall of 2010, 13 Bonaparte is a contemporary wardrobe for men willing to play with worwear codes and appreciate subtle details. To me, the collection finds itself somewhere A.P.C. and Margiela. We love the overshirts, the sweaters, the coats, the shirts, the fabrics (you have to touch some of them to figure it out)… Well we loved many things as we had a chance to chat with David and enjoy the atmosphere of his showroom. Take an extensive look at the collection and showroom after the break and let’s pray together for 13 Bonaparte to hit the French stores soon! Read the rest of this entry »
Introducing Ami by Alexandre Mattiussi
Alexandre Mattiussi used his name’s initials to create a really nice collection of “clothes for the real life“. We think Ami is really coherent: although the (French) label was created last year, the result is already well executed and the whole collection makes a lot of sense. I mean you can wear anything, from the chinos to the crisp shirts. The whole looks like a hip parisian bourgeois with clean, simple essentials : a trench, a cardigan, some clean blazers… Strange that I missed this one for so long… Looks like they are headed for success and I see that they already have resellers all around the world! Breizh Cafe Paris | Saturday Night Dinner
Okay, that’s a ridiculously easy one. Breizh Cafe is THE place in Paris where you can eat the best crepes in town. Located 109 rue Vieille du Temple (75003), Breizh Cafe is a simple, cosy, tiny place in the Marais. The team is French and Japanese, the founder having previously launched Breizh Cafe in Tokyo ! If you want my advice, stay hungry untill the dessert, for they have an amazing collection of dessert crepes you would regret to miss. And the cafe gourmand is really… gourmand. Introducing Brooklyn We Go Hard
Despite a name faking a US label, Brooklyn We Go Hard (BWGH) is actually a French artist collective mixing their loves for photography and fashion. To be precise, the clothes rather support their photography effort than vice versa. They were bold enough to get famous “Miss Météo” Solweig Rediger-Lizlow to model and promote the brand. I really digg the “Brooklyn parle français” sweater and I’d be glad to have one in my closet! Check out the lookbook and video teasers after the break! Read the rest of this entry »
Pigalle “Colette” T-Shirt
Super hype French label Pigalle is releasing an ultra limited t-shirt with a Colette logo in place of the now famous Pigalle one. Only 30 t-shirts will be sold to celebrate the 15th birthday of Colette! I’ll receive mine in a few days after an impulsive online purchase! Read the rest of this entry »
Current Obsession : Goyard
Goyard, the luxurious Parisian luggage maker founded in 1853, somehow manages to stay hip. The monogramming is easy to spot but the custom made program will let you create the format and color scheme you want so that it’s unique. Their tote is one of the most fought for bags in the galaxy but I’d rather go for a large pouch / portfolio like the one hereabove. I simply fear going to the store because I know this could be potentially dangerous for my bank account. No need to say that they propose some amazing trunks too. Reminds me of The Darjeeling Limited ! I’m craving for one ! Read the rest of this entry »
