Hype Means Everything

He was the Justin Bieber of his time. The years do him a little justice with a beat that makes you shake your head and a clip you wanna watch again and again.

The WaterRower Classic is the most snob way to do sport at home. It is hand crafted from American black walnut (which may vary in color from a rich brown to purple-black because it is natural you know). Each machine is  hand finished with three coats of Danish Oil to give the wood a deep lustre and warmth to the wood. How superficial can sports be sometimes… But don’t be mistaken, this is the best rower you can find on the market: wood has been chosen due to its marvellous engineering properties, primary amongst these is its ability to absorb sound and vibration enhancing the WaterRower‘s quietness and smoothness of use! Why water? Like rowing, the WaterFlywheel creates a fluid connection between rower and water using a simple immersed paddle. There is no solid mechanical connection, instead the contact between the paddle face and the water acts to dampen out any mechanical feel.

How to resist Margiela‘s minimalist messenger bag. Discrete, clean, it is designed as a reproduction of a 1970′s Australian journalists’ bag. The bordeaux leather looks really great and feels so soft that I wish I had 1900 dollars to spend on another bag. (shop)

Totally feeling the Memphis soul artist Ann Peebles these days. The Hi Records label signee born 1947 went famous with ”I Can’t Stand the Rain” and “I’m Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down“, which she wrote with her husband Don Bryant and radio broadcaster Bernard Miller. I however prefer the “Trouble, Heartaches and Sadness” single for its desarming sensuality.

isaora-x-meyerhoffer-slip-in-6-6-surfboard-1

I don’t know how to surf. Never tried, never dared. But if I did know how to climb on a board and ride waves like a boss, I’d probably surf on something that would look like this collaboration between ISAORA and Meyerhoffer. From what I’ve heard (and did not understand), the polyester resin board is 6’6″ long and has “a negative side cut pintail for a tighter turn radius” and “a hulled nose for old school high-speed trim”. Yup!
