Aston Martin Cygnet x Colette : The fashion city car

The Aston Martin Cygnet gets the Colette treatment with a limited edition version of their new city car. Indeed, painted in lightning silver with Colette Blue and chocolate brown detailing throughout, the Cygnet & Colette city car ($70,000/48995€) will be limited to 14 examples and will feature custom details from Aston Martin Works Taillored.

Though the technical characteristics of the Aston Martin Cygnet remain the same as the regular version, the Colette touch lies in the details: the interior has been completely revisited by Colette, a a badging specially designed by Thomas Fattorini, or even a customized key ring that perfectly suits the design of the car! Le Derrière by Momo : the “home away from home” restaurant, @Marais, Paris

Launched in 2008, the idea for this family apartment-style venue, Le Derrière, was to be able to entertain friends “at home” every night. The weird name comes from its location, right at the back of the two others Momo’s hype hotspots: the 404 and Andy Wahloo.

The thing is you can just pick the atmosphere you want: whether it’s in the lounge, dining room, bedroom or even boudoir. As you can see on the pics below, the décor and furniture are an eclectic mix of styles. I namely like the red lounge with the vintage motocycle alongside the tables and the cosy red lights…

The food is French, simple and wholesome, apparently made with the finest quality products. I tasted their roasted duck breast and loved it! Le Derrière is a really cool place (like all Momo’s), then think to book a table before popping in!!

B Home Interior is an Italian interior designer. Skimming through his creations, you understand he pays much attention to details and materials. Indeed, B Home designers must have a fondness for foal skin (“poulain”), as you can see on the cigar ashtray above (150€) and the iPad case (right after the break), and obviously well manufactured leather. I guess B Home Interior is a great source of inspiration for gifts!

Last week I reintroduced an alternative to the ritual of shaving that was long forgotten, not because of its obsoleteness but because of men’s laziness. All barbers in the world have the same ritual; they will start by wrapping a hot towel on your face to soften your beard then will shave it using a badger brush and a straight razor. What a masterpiece !! This is the Leica M9-P, a slightly modified version of the flagship M9 model from Leica. There isn’t a lot of technical improvements, the sensor, viewfinder, body… everything remains the same except for three minor updates : Leica’s famous red dot logo has been removed with branding placed on the top plate. Other changes include a Leather-like finish and the use of a sapphire crystal cover on the LCD monitor. The M9-P will come in either Leica’s classic silver chrome finish or in black.
