JAEGER-LECOULTRE GRANDE REVERSO ULTRA THIN “TRIBUTE TO 1931″

It was only a matter of time before Jaeger-LeCoultre did a “heritage” version of their already “in the past” Reverso watch. A timeless classic, the Reverso has come in dozens of versions, becoming one of the brand’s most signature timepieces. As the name of this new “Tribute” watch suggests, the original Reverso watch was released in 1931. The idea behind it was to be a timepiece that could be worn while playing polo – but that would also be less susceptible to damage given that watch crystals were made of glass back then.

In 2011 Jaeger-LeCoultre will release two versions of this Grande Reverso Ultra Thin Tribute to 1931 watch. They will be in larger “Grande” Reverso cases being 46mm tall and 27.5mm wide. Thickness is just 7.2mm, which goes with the svelte “Ultra Thin” moniker. The case will be available in steel or 18k pink gold. Read the rest of this entry »

Uniform Wares “300 series”, the minimalist watch!

Brand New London Uniform Wares is going to release a brand new “300 Series” model which will be on sale in December.

Like the two previous models “100 Series” and “200 Series”, this chronograph combines a subtle aesthetic and minimalist design!  Thus, this timepiece continues the Uniform Wares pared down aesthetic, with the subtle addition of an exceptionally accurate Swiss chronograph movement.

We particularly appreciate the elegance of this watch for changes in black sprinkled with touches of white… Read the rest of this entry »

The BR01 Radar will be produced in a limited edition of 100 pieces. Read the rest of this entry »

Project X Double Red Submariners Rolex SS2 & SS3

I am not a particular fan of Rolexes but I can recognize a some are very very cool. Project X Designs just announced the release of two customed models, both of which happen to look absolutely great.  Although very similar, because both are based on a 16610LV Rolex Submariner, they differ in colors and finish for the crown. Some will find that the bracelet brings a cheap touch, but I believe this adds a lot to the style. Read the rest of this entry »

Panerai Luminor 1950 Regatta Rattrapante on Stallone’s wrist

Panerai Luminor 1950 Regatta Rattrapante

As I was strolling in the pedestrian streets of London, I stopped by the poster of this now well-known American blockbuster, The Expandables*. Then, I noticed this watch on Silvester Stallone’s wrist : the Panerai Luminor 1950 Regatta Rattrapante (PAM332).

This isn’t just another example of pricey product placement, however; Stallone is a longtime Panerai fan who is credited with introducing the brand to the U.S., and the watch, a limited edition Luminor 1950 Regatta Rattrapante 44 mm, is in fact his personal wrist candy.
