I also know that I repeat myself but Scott Sternberg is a real fashion genius. He’s the designer behind the cuts and style. When I think hype fashion, this is the first brand that comes to my mind : a young, updated, colorful america-inspired style ! It’s not the first time I introduce you to Ovadia and Sons, the NY-based brand lead by twins Ariel and Shimon Ovadia. In this FW2011 lookbook, I am very well surprised by the fact that they managed (again) to mix British, American and Italian influences like no other brand. The tailoring is particularly impressive and the numerous representations of double-monk shoes can’t make me happier. I dream my closet would be full of Ovadia and Sons ! I’d like to add that the patterns, while very classical, bring a lot to the looks. Rocky Mountain Featherbed’s vests really impressed me at (capsule) last week and while searching some infos on the web, I realised the brand is still very discrete and rare. Both the quality and the originality of the clothes were very charming. I consider RMF vests as a real piece of choice against those Moncler and Pyrenex things. Among the many amazing things we saw last weekend at (capsule) exhibition in Paris, there were these incredible wool ties and bowties from Monitaly Autumn collection. The colors are really great but I’m not concinced by the frilled ends which look quite unclean to me and must be very fragile when worn. You may not know him yet but Laurent Desgrange is a young French designer and artist. He first grew up abroad, then settled in Paris. He then started to develop his own collection of bow ties (manufactured in his Parisian atelier and sold worldwide).

Paradoxically enough, his aim is to turn the bow tie into a more casual item: for instance, he first designed these collections of bow ties to be put on rappers’ sneakers (as you can see right below). As a matter of fact, he has also set an affordable price  (around 60€) for his creations!
