Hackett A/W 2011 Lookbook

Because I’m doing my internship these days and therefore must be suited up all week, I’m more prompt to buying dress shirts, suits and all office things than I normally do. Just to be clear, I love to suit up. It’s just that shopping is more expensive. But that’s not the point of this post. The point is that I pay more attention than ever to dressed-up silhouettes. And the discovery of these Hackett FW 2011 looks fulfilled all my expectations. And God knows I have many ! Slim fitted, bold, classy, retro, awesome, dapper looks mixed with country, browny, gentleman, weekend looks ! I’d just say caution dudes, you’re about to fall in love ! Acne Everest Duffle Bag

I’m in an Acne mood after stopping by the brand’s flagship store at the Palais Royal in Paris. Among many eye-catching items and a collection of beautiful minimalist pieces for fall was this Everest Duffle bag. It’s made in canvas and the quality is splendid : marked gold tone hardware, double adjustable leather carry handles,  adjustable removable shoulder strap, signature press stud and zip-up closure at main compartment, embossed logo plaque at front. It feels resistant and you know from instant one that it can accompany you wherever you’ll go ! HQ pics of the duffle bag right after the gap ! Read the rest of this entry »

Lanvin Mountain Boots

Fortunately, the weather in Paris is still pretty sunny and I’m not to worried about my dress shoes options to go working. But it’s never too early to get prepared when it comes to upper-shoes. How do you think your leather soles will appreciate the heavy rain and the snow when they eventually arrive ? I just can’t think of anything more harmful to my shoes. Therefore, I start browsing some cool options for the extreme days to come. These urbanized  Lanvin mountain boots have the very advantage of being sober and rather classy so you can wear them with pleated wool pants like in the picture above withuot looking for someone going on vacation in the Alps.  Read the rest of this entry »

Kitsuné Shawl Collar Cardigan | Feels So Comfortable

I shouldn’t have stop at Kitsuné‘s shop Rue de Richelieu in Paris last weekend. Everything there is so tempting. Look this shawl collar cardigan for example. You could chose dozens of other brands but unsurprisingly, Kitsuné makes THE one that is hard to resist to. Flawless with a cable knit body, crushed leather buttons and tight ribbing on the cuffs and waist. With a thick shawl collar, this golden brown (photo is unfair believe me) cardigan is definitely a winter essential. Wear as a jacket alternative now or underneath a winter coat when the mercury drops. Now you’re ready for winter. Read the rest of this entry »

Jaeger Lecoultre Master Geographic 2011

Released with both the elegant Master Ultra Thin Moon and the breathless Master Eight Days Perpetual 40, the Master Geographic by Jaeger Lecoultre completes the new pieces of the Swiss watchmaker’s  Master Control line. These watches represent the actual stylishness and the moderation of the brand. The Master Geographic is my favorite one : thanks to the 40-h reserve power spring, this magic timepiece will display the exact time of the country in which you stay wherever you go! Another a must-have designed especially for dandy travellers!   Read the rest of this entry »

Winter Ties Selection : Tweed, Wool, and Cashmere

Hype Means Everything presents the 2011 Fall/Winter Tie Draft. We select the best looking ties that would help reinforce your wardrobe. I take advantage of this post to remind all of you that ties aren’t optional when going to work suited up. The knot should be fastened and the top button of your shirt should be closed. That beeing said, let’s talk about some options for this season. The tie of choice is a knit wool tie. Get a blue one from Drakes, Ralph Lauren, Charvet, Brooks Brothers or even boot makers Church’s. Uniqlo sometimes have pretty good ones too. Second option is a tweed heavyweight wool tie in rich autumnal shades. Perfect with a wool blazer and brogues for a refined style. Last piece to get your hands on is a paisley-printed wool tie in dark rich autumnal colors. That takes any suit to the next level. Very M&A. Very “man who gives a damn”. Check some looks after the break ! Read the rest of this entry »
