We kept his view on fashion, his tips, his lessons. We kept everything. As we were invited at Veuve Clicquot House in Reims a few days ago, we had the chance to have lunch with Fabienne Moreau, the head of historic ressources of both Veuve Clicquot and Krug at Brasserie Le Jardin.

We jumped on the occasion to question her about a particular event: the discovery of the oldest champagne bottles in the world. Indeed, if you followed the news last summer, you certainly know that dozens of 170-year old bottles of champagne were found off to the Aaland Islands, in the Baltic seabed.

I am sure many of you have learned now that here at HME, we are in a 24/7 quest for the best cut chinos, the best looking double-monks or the neatest double-breasted blazer. The hunt for incredible pieces is our favourite spare-time occupation. But lastly, I’ve been confronted to something particular with the discovery of the New-York fashion label Ovadia & Sons. Their first collection for SS2011 was so impressive and enlightening it was like a revelation, the combination of various tailoring influences finally achieved.
