Red Epic M Camera
Guess who just bought 50 Red Epic-M cameras, sold 58.000 $ each ? James Cameron, supposedly for Avatar 2 expected for end of 2012. This is not a surprise since Peter Jackson already bought some earlier this year for the upcoming filming of The Hobbit. The cam comes in a kit including the body, a BOMB EVF Electronic View Finder, a 5-inch touchscreen, batteries with chargers, four 128 GB SSD hard drives, a titanium mount and a case. I am not sure whether I have to call it a large USB key or a small external SSD (Solid State Disk). I think it’s in between.
