Just when I’m bored with my iPhone 5S being slow and full of software bugs, just when I’m really angry at Apple for being such a shitty mainstream brand, I find out Huawei is releasing the latest edition of the Honor smartphone in Europe. It’s basically a high-powered, large screen, high def camera-equiped smartphone with an Android OS. It simply does what my iPhone doesn’t feel like doing these days: quick app changes, no-freeze web browsing, intelligent Google features (like how do I get home in a few finger taps, quick notification swipes, full Google integration, free cloud back-ups, real password ingration across devices through Chrome…). I wouldn’t say life changing upgrade but for half the price of an iPhone, you get everything I mentionned above plus longer life battery, customizable OS and themes, standard USB charging cables (thank god) and many more not-so-anectodic details. HydroView is a remote operated underwater vehicle with a high definition video camera and LED lights that employs motion control technology. Pretty awesome (unaffordable – see here) gadget I guess, but I must say I’d rather dive in with the liquid image diving mask to explore underwater relics and fish!Read More
Jawbone is bringing their Bluetooth headset back to center stage with a new and improved Jawbone Era. Doing probably what Jawbone does best, they’ve managed to make the ERA smaller, more comfortable, and crammed inside better audio, noise cancelation and microphone technology. The headset comes with charging case to power the Era for 10 hours of talk time and has compatibility with Google Now and Siri.Read More
At first glance, the Space looks identical to the last year’s Mophie Juice Pack Air. Really, not much has changed — which is a good thing since the original design was so well received. It’s the addition of an internal drive that sets the Space Pack apart. The product comes in both 16GB and 32GB varieties, doubling your storage for photos, music, and movies. Of course, you need a means of managing those files, so Mophie is releasing its own Space app to handle the task (see below). The Mophie Space Pack is available for preorder on Mophie‘s site for $149.95 for 16GB and $179.95 for 32GB. It’ll hit retail on March 14th.Read More

I’ve decided I wouldn’t spend my next few week-ends running across Paris to find the perfect Christmas gifts, should it be for me or for my beloved ones. Instead, I would just seat behind my desk at home in my PJ and take advantage of some online resellers’ free shipping policies! I’ve started with Mr Porter, which you shouldn’t be surprised about if you’re a regular of this blog. We dudes don’t have much choice when it comes to online shops for proper menswear. If it weren’t for Mr Porter, I’d be short a few shirts and scarves and ties and shoes in my weekly rotations! Stay tuned for daily “wishlist” items in fashion, design, books, skincare, watches and many more until we reach Christmas day!

What if sending money was as simple as sending an email? Square has a new service called Square Cash (available on iOs and Android) that makes sending money as easy as sending an e-mail, literally. All you do is punch in how much you need to send, type in your friend’s e-mail address, and once you link your debit card number the money is immediately on its way. Your lucky friend doesn’t even need to use the app or sign up for any services either, they just enter their debit card number and the cash is deposited into their account within 1-2 days! Love the concept, way easier than main actor, Pay Pal.Read More
After news that Apple hired one of Nike’s top Fuel Band designers to work on wearable devices, people started dreaming about the merger between Nike’s Fuel Band and a wearable iPhone. This is a very cool iWatch concept designed by Thomas Bogner, imagining the device borrowing influence from the Nike Fuel Band with iOS 7 design language and features.Read More
