Girls, we know you love masculine watches! Good for you: all the finest luxury watch makers (Audemars Piguet, Rolex, Richard Mille and Tag Heuer) have got it all!
According to the current trends, it seems that women are more and more swapping their conspicuous diamond watches for masculine watches. What is more high-end masculine watches are not hard to find anymore. All the major watch makers decline their best-seller men watches, such as Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, to seduce their female clientele. And it does work: for instance the Lady Royal Oak now represents about 25% of Audemars Piguet’s global sales.

You shall get a pocket square: Pretentious Pocket!
I want to introduce another essential item for men : the pocket square !
Especially popular in the 1920s, men used to wear a pocket square in combination with a suit, a vest, and the era’s typical fedora hat. By the way, a little bit of fashion history: later on, during the 40s and 50s the linen handkerchiefs were viewed us unhygenic. As a result, it was replaced by Kleenex’s disposable handkerchief, and only used as a fashion accessory in form of a pocket square. Pocket squares are still today a very fashionable and hype piece of accessory for any formal or even business attire.
Let’s introduce a young New-Yorker brand, specialized in pocket squares, called Pretentious Pocket! They offer a really large panel of choice available directly on their website! The crazy thing is that all the 15″ pocket squares are made in Manhattan. The patterns are great and will add an elegant touch to your suit. If you don’t know how to fold them, Pretentious Pocket teaches you on its Manifesto. Check out their pocket squares after the jump!

Essential among the Essentials : the Little Black Dress Part 1
I don’t know if there is an equivalent in the men’s dressings. The little black dress is a style staple like no other. The simple cut and and the quite short format have turned legendary since Coco Chanel’s designs in the 1920s. The little black dress has remained a constant and did not evolve much since then. Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s dress designed by Hubert de Givenchy epitomized the perfection for wearing little black dresses, accessorized with pearls, as seen throughout the early 1960s. The dress hit a record in 2006 when it was auctioned for £410,000 – six times its original estimate, adding a bit more to the legend. And why would the legend have an end ? The so-called LBD for little black dress survives because it’s long-lasting, versatile, and created for the widest possible market in a classy uniform color. Read the rest of this entry »

Boxer Swim Shorts | Kitsuné SS11
I just want one of these Kitsuné swin short so bad ! They are like perfect. I don’t know what else to say apart from technical details : elasticated waist with a white string and a single patch pocket on the rear. The Kitsuné fox logo pops on the left leg in the classic French red, white and blue. It’s made in Italy from 100% polyester. Blue, red, beige and mint green are available. Reminder : swim shorts can’t fall under your knee. It’s a generally admitted rule. Don’t forget it. Oki-ni has them.
Tassel Loafers | Ralph Lauren Purple Label
You know what could dress-up any casual summer pant, should it be a chino or a short ? This pair of Ralph Lauren Tassel Loafers could do it with honnors. There are some pairs every man should have and I believe a durable classic pair of loafers is without any doubt. From what I can tell judging by my pair of RL wingtips, is that the quality and detailing is simply perfect. The heel sounds so good on the ground, the shoes are so comfortable it is just unmatch in my already extensive shoe collection.Wear sockless with a navy suit or with chinos for an assured footwear statement. Shorts are permitted too. Mr Porter has them. Read the rest of this entry »
Summer Essential: the Sunglasses (Women’s dope)
I write this post for those who are still hesitating on the sunglasses model they should buy for this summer. Once again, HME offers you its own selection! I had a hard time rummaging around to end up with a proper selection to satisfy you fashion addicts! Indeed, at that time, only a few brands manage to play their cards right…
1 – At the top of my podium, I’d pick Illesteva, the New-York Sunglasses brand we presented you a few months ago (here). The two founders, Silberman and Ske, have created a brand of classic timeless pieces, meant to last a lifetime and usually push normal boundaries of design by exploring fresh shapes and materials… To me, this brand is a real “coup de coeur”, plus you will find their products on any selective online store, such as La Garçonne, Oki-ni or even Opening Ceremony.
2 – Then, I would pick the Italian brand, L.G.R. Sunglasses. No need to say that these sunglasses are both very elegant and exclusive. Not only will you buy an high-end quality product but also its history and personality with it. I first found out about this brand on Oki-ni website, but as soon as I got in touch with their press department, I understood that L.G.R. Sunglasses was not a brand like any other! You can easily get a pair on Colette online store or on Antonioli.
3- The third position goes to logically to the British Queen of collabs, Ms Linda Farrow !! Dries Van Noten, Alexander Wang, Charles Anastase or, more recently, Jeremy Scott: they have all worked in collaboration with Linda Farrow. That being said, her retro category comprises several real masterpieces, an actual blue chip!! Available everywhere, notably on Linda Farrow catalog.
Our selection after the jump !!
