I admire De Niro as an actor, and adore Hedi Slimane, first as a fashion designer, now as a gifted photographer !!

Here Slimane presents on his diary (http://www.hedislimane.com/diary/) this magnificient series of shots: I feel like Robert De Niro is actually acting as Hedi shoots him.

Indeed, the more I examine the pictures below, the more I discern the different roles he played in front the movie camera (to quote but few of them: Casino, Heat, Raging Bull or even Meet the Parents (Mon beau-père et moi) for the cranky face). Read the rest of this entry »

On my way to the center of Paris, I saw the Musée Jacquemart-André teasing a really tempting exhibition showcasing Rubens, Poussin and other masters from their century. This exhibition gathers around sixty paintings, so it’s rather small,  from both private and public collections across Europe. It certainly offers a unique view of two great artistic movements of the 17th century: Flemish Baroque painting, of which Rubens is the best reprentative, and the French Classical school led by Nicolas Poussin and highlights the influence they had on each other. I have the firm intention to pay a visit soon so if someone has any feedback, I’d be glad to read some in the comments!

When the prestigious photographer Todd Selby visits Pharrell’s crazy beach house in Miami, the result is just bluffing. Music producer, entrepreneur, fashion guru, artist, furniture designer etc already make a great resume and judging on his house’s interior, I completely trust this man. In fact, I love him. His style, music, well, everything he touches and creates makes me happy. I urge you to take a look at the photos. Now I feel like listening all his albums again… “Can I have it like that ? A few weeks ago, I spent some time on Tumblr checking hundreds of flourishing blogs, more or less fashion-oriented, but all really dynamic and… enthusiastic. One in particular caught my attention, but I didn’t saved the page in my favourites, which I regreted quite quickly because I couldn’t remember the exact name of the blog. So I had no choice but spend a few hours again to find the site and eventually, I  found it : http://enthusiasmdocumented.tumblr.com. You’ll see by yourself that the choice of pictures is amazing and very (very) rich. Definitely a blog to check. I don’t even know why I am buying magazines with all these great blogs around the web!

Sicksystems is a personal art project of a Moscow-based graphic artist Aske. Though initially founded in 2003 as a graffiti crew, over the years the Sicksystems evolved into a versatile creative trio, and in 2009 it became a personal project of its founder and the most active member Aske. Since setting up a shop in Paris in 1854, Louis Vuitton has been synonymous with high-end travel.

A new exhibition at the Musée Carnavalet celebrates the Vuittons’ adventuring spirit. Gathered for the first time in a museum context, the luggage is also showcased by the launch of the new Book: Louis Vuitton: 100 Legendary Trunks.
