When I think about timeless Italian elegance, the name of Mariano Rubinacci comes to my mind first. He’s a discrete icon of genuine elegance with that calculated non-chalance that is the sprezzatura. His ability to look so naturally elegant and cool at the same time is disconcerting. Look at the picture hereabove. On the right. A fastened double-breasted black-tie smoking turned creative with a Rubinacci pocket square. That’s a pro trick if you tell me ! Mariano’s London House tailoring firm was created in 1932 by his father Gennaro and was part clothier, part social club.  Now Mariano has shops in Italy, England and New-York and offers a selection of eccentric accessories along with bespoke tailoring.
