A few month ago, I met Alexandre to inquire about the launch of a French shoe label called Apologie. Artistic director Olivia Cognet is a decoration guru, cat-loving funny girl whose savoir-faire in the luxury footwear world and relentless energy gave birth to Apologie Paris. The shoe line is inspired by the Parisian garde-robe and wants to be creative and twisted. Most of the shoes are produced in Italy by reknowned artisans as you would expect with an artistic director who learned her job at Carven, Tara Jarmon, Sonia Rykiel and Thierry Mugler. With so much enthusiasm from me, you’d expect the line to be over-priced ? Well, you’re not even close ! Apologie is fun, chic, rather cute to the men’s eye and… acecssible !
