Opening Ceremony Store | West Hollywood LA

A short time ago, we introduced the opening of the OC store in London. No wonder then that we really wanted to visit their stores in the US. We had the chance to pop into the Opening Ceremony in Soho (NYC). To be quite honest, we were really disappointed by the overall arrangement of the store, the way high-end clothes were displayed: we actually felt like we were in the sort of frippery, except that the panel of clothes was really modern and sought-after…

Then, we decided to check out the Opening Ceremony flagship in LA (451 N. La Cienega Boulevard, West Hollywood). It turned out that the place is no ordinary boutique, it’s 10,000 square feet of Charlie Chaplin’s old dance studio. What’s coolest about the space is that it’s so big that each designer basically gets their own space within the store and the customer can move from room to room checking out each designer. Alexander Wang got his own room, as to Band of Outsiders, there is a particular lego-style corner showcasing some exclusive pieces on the second floor too. You just have to check it out if you’re staying in LA, even more if your hotel is in West Hollywood. Link
