Nicolas Jaar is only 22 but has already produced one of the best albums of 2011 with ‘Space is only noise‘. Indeed, his album has become one of the most successful debuts of recent times, gathering praise from the likes of The Guardian (“One feels drawn into a fullyformed, self-contained world of his making”) and Dazed & Confused (“Nicolas Jaar has achieved something that few electronic musicians have achieved before – bringing geeky techno fiends, jazz lovers and chav ravers into an unholy union”). The American-Chilean musician is currently studying comparative literature at Brown University, the owner and founder of his own record label and art house Clown & Sunset and guest of the last Essential Mix.
